After a few chats with different agents at Snapfish, I was able to get an e-mail to send some examples of the unusable photos. I double-checked the photos I had uploaded to make sure that I didn't upload low quality pics, and they were all very clear and good quality. They were very dark, and many of them had been cropped ( I did not crop them). I was so so so disappointed when I received the 200 pics that I ordered. I have vacillated between all of the photo apps for months, and I finally chose Snapfish because it got some great reviews online. I am currently making a photo album of pictures of my little girl who passed away one year ago.

However, I am so upset right now with the customer service from this company. I didn't have to deal with customer service so I can't speak about that. The paper is a bit on the thin side but not terrible. Maybe it's just that my expectations were low, but the books were delivered on time (a day early actually!), and the quality is fine! The books seem well made, the print clarity and vibrance isn't museum quality but I'm happy with the results. I nearly panicked from all the negative ones! It was too late to cancel so I just hoped for the best. Excited about the finished product, I then checked reviews. Frustrating, but I did it over and ordered 4 canvas bound books. I spent all day on my laptop building the book and honestly it was a very pleasant experience, except when I was done it didn't save the last 1/4 of the book and 2 hours of work, despite regularly auto saving before that. I wanted a photo album of my daughter's first year, and was lured to Snapfish by the deep discounts and good looking website.

The smaller prints had faded blacks and looked desaturated when compared to the 8x10 prints.I wanted a photo album of my daughter's first year, and was lured to Snapfish by the deep discounts and good looking website. This was most noticeable in the blacks of the images. The paper quality is very thin and the colors between the 8x10 and 4圆 images were inconsistent. Snapfish's print quality left a lot to be desired.īecause Snapfish didn’t offer a Lustre option, we opted for a Glossy print.

In our trial last fall, the prints from Snapfish arrived on the date the company estimated.

Snapfish charges $2.99 per 8x10 inch print, and $0.09 per 4圆 print (but new users get 100 free 4圆 prints) plus $1.99 for shipping (or pick-up at Walgreens or CVS). And the Snapfish smart editor will actually recommend print sizes for you based on the image that you have uploaded. The paper options at Snapfish are limited to Glossy and Matte. The 100 free 4圆 prints for new users might be a good deal, but we’d rather pay for prints with more consistent quality. With Snapfish, as with Shutterfly, you have the option to pick your prints up from CVS, Walgreens or Walmart (again, it's not clear they're the same quality as those shipped through the site), but since we were using the shipping time to compare these various services we opted to get the prints mailed to us. Once you’ve created a Snapfish account, you choose the product that you would like your images printed on, select sizes, paper quality and then upload your images. Since signing up and ordering these test prints I’ve received an email daily from the company. They also seem to be running a different kind of flash deal special on a variety of their products every day. Snapfish is based out of San Francisco and for new users they offer a limited-time deal of 100 free 4圆 inch prints. We didn’t love the faded blacks and the inconsistent tones between the 8x10 and 4圆 images.

Snapfish is the second cheapest option on the list but print quality isn't great.
